Hong Kong Maritime Museum


Located on the picturesque Victoria Harbour at Central Pier No. 8, the non-profit Hong Kong Maritime Museum founded in 2004 is a registered charity supported by the Hong Kong Government and the Hong Kong Shipping industry.
 
The museum is the home of Hong Kong’s maritime heritage past, present and future where Hong Kong’s maritime story is placed into its local, regional and international context. Its vision is to become the maritime museum showcasing Hong Kong and China’s maritime connections to the world focused on the Pearl River Delta and the emergence and development of Hong Kong as a port and international shipping centre. It houses more than 5,000 artefacts, comprises 15 galleries including a special exhibition & events space, a resource centre, a roof-top café, a gift shop and nautical antique gallery.
